Unimog U319

The project required a telecoms headframe to be transported over 2 kilometres of soft, muddy terrain to a remote, existing phone mast - a route inaccessible to standard plant and 4x4 vehicles. Ground conditions were poor, access was limited, and maintaining programme certainty was essential.

Ancore provided a specialist Unimog, selected for its exceptional off-road capability, traction, and load-handling performance. Designed to operate where conventional vehicles cannot, the Unimog enabled the headframe to be moved safely and securely across difficult terrain without ground damage or risk of becoming immobilised.

Despite the challenging conditions, the equipment was delivered efficiently and without delay, allowing the wider programme to continue as planned. The task was completed smoothly, demonstrating the value of selecting the right specialist equipment for demanding access environments.

The result was reliable access, safe transportation, and on-time delivery, reinforcing Ancore’s ability to support complex infrastructure projects with specialist plant solutions that perform when conditions are at their toughest.
